Frequently Asked Questions

How do you know that I’ll be eligible for the grant?

The $2,000 grant is available to any business that is facing an IT challenge or has an IT project.  The only area that the grant can’t be used for is for IT hardware.

Who pays for the grant?

All partners that are part of this initiative have committed to the $2,000 grant.  They are excited to work with you on delivering the project/challenge you mentioned but there’s no obligation to use anyone.

What if the services for the project/challenge costs more than $2,000?

This is a high possibility. Many projects/challenges can’t be solved/completed for $2,000, but our partners will reduce their service fees by $2,000 if you decide to proceed with them.

Won’t the partner just increase the cost by $2,000?

All participating partners have committed not to do that. In any case, it’s a competitive marketplace out there. If we find that partners are in breach of their commitments to the grant initiative, they will be removed from the program immediately.

What does rhipe get out of this?

Given we have over 1800 IT partners in Australia and NZ, it’s likely that any license you buy has a fair chance of going through us. We’ve put this initiative together to make it easier for companies like yours to find the right IT partner to solve different IT challenges/work on strategic IT projects.

I have an IT department/IT provider I currently use

That’s fairly normal; many of the companies we speak with have one.

If you have an IT department:  Normally we find IT departments are stretched for resources and don’t have all the inhouse skills to solve/work on all the challenges/projects that a company like yours may require.  Rather than enduring a tiresome search on Google, you can utilise our platform to compare, assess and select your ideal IT specialist to meet your requirements and enjoy the $2,000 rebate.

If you use an outside company/MSP:  Normally we find outsourced IT companies are stretched for resources and don’t have all the inhouse skills to solve/work on all the challenges/projects that a company like yours may require.  Assuming you have a good relationship with that company, we aren’t looking to replace them.  We’re simply going to recommend a company that can help you with something that isn’t in their core skill set.  You may as well get $2,000 for allowing us to help you find the best company to suit your requirements rather than go to Google.

Is there any obligation?

None at all.  It costs nothing to have a discussion with the partner we connect you with.  If after speaking with them you decide to engage their services, the agreement will between you both.  At the time of invoicing, the $2,000 grant will be applied to your engagement. If you don’t engage them, you have nothing to pay.

Is this a government initiative?

No. The government hasn’t provided a lot of IT grant initiatives as part of the COVID stimulus other than the asset write off. This is a private initiative we have coordinated with our network of 1800 partners in Australia and NZ and is available to all private businesses facing an IT challenge or considering an IT project.

How many grants can I receive?

One for each partner you work with. If you have a project you want to work with one partner and a challenge that can be solved by another, you can access two grants.

Why is this initiative in place?

Every day, we get reports from companies like yours that are getting tired of trying to find the right IT partner on Google, only to find that the traffic has been bought by a large IT vendor or company that has deep pockets.  It wastes a lot of time and effort.  Given we have over 1800 partners and have deep knowledge of their capabilities, we know who to connect you with based on the challenge/project you provide us.
